Geraldine Acuña-Sunshine AB ‘92 MPP ‘96 JD ‘99 (Columbia Law School) is Senior Counsel at Bracebridge Capital, a fixed income hedge fund with over $13 billion in assets under management. She is also Co-Founder and Scientific Advisory Board Member of the Collaborative Center for X-Linked Dystonia Parkinsonism at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and is President of the Sunshine Care Foundation for Neurological Care and Research (SCF), an international non-profit organization dedicated to finding innovative ways of delivering free clinical and neurological care to patients in rural areas of Asia. Her Harvard leadership positions include serving as Overseer on the Harvard Governing Boards; Co-Chair of the Harvard College Fund Executive Committee during the Harvard Campaign; Co-Chair of the Harvard Kennedy School Fund Executive Council; Member of HKS Dean’s Council Leadership Circle; Member of Faculty of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Council; and Director for the Harvard Alumni Association for six years. She serves on several university committees including as a member of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Visiting Committee, the Harvard International and Area Studies Visiting Committee, and the Harvard Board of Overseers Nominating Committee.
Carol Dominguez
Carol Dominguez is the President and CEO of John Clements Consultants, Inc., one of the Philippines’ leading providers of human resources and world-class leadership development services. Those partners include Harvard Business Publishing (HBP), one of the world’s foremost providers of business education and leadership development services, Zenger Folkman, a premier provider of 360-degree assessments, Institution for a Global Society Corporation (IGS) and Cross Knowledge, a Wiley Company. Before joining John Clements Consultants, Carol was an officer of Citibank, where she worked from 1985 to 2002, first in New York City, followed by assignments in London and Milan. Carol graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of the Philippines. She holds a Masters of Management Degree from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Evanston, Illinois and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. Carol is a member of the Harvard Business School Alumni Board, immediate past Director for Asia of the Harvard Alumni Association, former President of the Harvard Business School Club of the Philippines, board member of the Harvard OPM Philippines Chapter and reunion Chairperson of AMP182.
Alicia Rita Morales
Alicia Rita L. Morales is the Managing Director of the John Clements Leadership Institute. Alicia has developed leadership programs for over 8,000 senior leaders and high potentials from leading multinationals and regional conglomerates in Southeast Asia. Concurrently, Alicia is the first woman Independent Director of publicly listed First Gen Corporation elected to the board since 2018. She is also an Independent Director of BPI Securities Corporation as of February 2020. Previously, Alicia was the youngest Chairman of the Philippine Stock Exchange for two consecutive years and an active director for five years. She was then concurrently a Director of the Securities Clearing Corporation of the Philippines and a CEO of a top brokerage firm for nine years. Ms. Morales is a certified public accountant with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Accountancy from the University of the Philippines (1984) and an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, with a triple major in Finance, Marketing and Economics (1990). She is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program from the Harvard Business School (2014) and the President of the Harvard Business School Club of the Philippines (2018 – 2020).
Anthony Amunategui Abad
Tony was the President of the Harvard Club of the Philippines from 2016 to 2018 and is currently the President of the Harvard Kennedy Alumni Association of the Philippines. He graduated with an MPA (1997) from the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government. He also has a Juris Doctor and an Economics Honors degree from the Ateneo de Manila University. Tony is the CEO of the consulting firm, TradeAdvisors, and a founding partner of the law firm, Abad Alcantara Associates (TradeLawyers). He is also a professor of international economic law at the Ateneo de Manila University Law School and is a regular lecturer, facilitator, and moderator at various conferences and seminars involving trade, investment, law, economics, and other topics. Tony is presently serving as a panelist of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Dispute Settlement Body and as the Philippine Chairman for the Commission on Competition of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). He is also an active consultant and advisor for various multilateral, governmental, and non-governmental institutions, with projects ranging from international trade law to technology and innovation to financial inclusion and poverty alleviation. Tony also served the Philippine government in various capacities. He was a Tariff Commissioner, the Administrator of the National Food Authority, Chairman of the Food Terminal Inc., and President of the Philippine International Trading Corporation, among others.
Gideon Javier
Gideon Javier graduated from Harvard College in 1992 with a concentration in East Asian Studies. A fluent Japanese speaker, he spent two years in Tokyo before settling in Manila in 1995. After ten years in the telecommunications industry he started an interior construction company, Javier Project Managers that builds the offices of many multinational companies in the Philippines.Gideon has served in various roles within the Harvard Club of the Philippines including as president from 2018 t0 2020. He led the HCP reconstruction of the Curva Elementary School that was flattened by Hurricane Haiyan in 2013.
Maya Chorengel
Maya Chorengel is a co-Managing Partner of The Rise Fund, a $5 billion global impact investing fund launched by TPG in 2017. The Rise Fund harnesses commercial capital at scale to build successful businesses that drive meaningful and measurable positive change, investing globally in education, energy, financial services, food and agriculture, healthcare, technology, and conservation. Maya has over 25 years of private equity, venture capital, and impact investing experience in the U.S. and the emerging markets. Prior to joining The Rise Fund, Maya co-founded Elevar Equity, a leading impact venture capital firm in Asia and Latin America. Prior to Elevar Equity, she was Managing Director of the Dignity Fund, a global microfinance investment fund, and invested for Warburg Pincus in New York, Hong Kong, and Menlo Park. Maya is a Director of EverFi, Varo Money, Kiva, GloboKasNet, and Nithio and sits on Advisory Boards of the Harvard Business School Social Enterprise Initiative and CASE i3 at Duke University. She recently co-authored “Calculating the Value of Impact Investing” which was published in the Harvard Business Review. Maya earned an A.B. in Social Studies, Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude, from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Mianne Lava Ortega
Mianne Laya Ortega, MBA ’94, is Director of Strategy and Operations for McKinsey & Company’s Global Marketing & Sales Practice, based out of Madrid, Spain. In this role, Mianne covers all elements of the practice’s global knowledge investment strategy and business operations that enable McKinsey to help clients set their strategic direction, develop their marketing and sales capability muscle, and connect their organizations to deliver above-market growth. Currently, Mianne is also serving as Chief Digital Officer and active member for the Harvard Club of Spain, contributing towards the club’s digitization strategy. Before joining McKinsey, Mianne was at Pepsi Cola International as Marketing Manager for Flavored Drinks based out of New York, and later as New Products Manager in Europe. Prior to taking her MBA, Mianne worked for Procter & Gamble as Purchasing Manager. In addition to her Harvard MBA, Mianne holds a BS Industrial Engineering (Cum Laude) from the University of the Philippines.
Myrish Antonio
Myrish Antonio is the Director of Fellowship and Leadership Development Programs at the HKS Center for Public Leadership. Before coming to CPL, Myrish held various private sector positions including as Deputy Legal Counsel of Silliman University and Director of the Dr. Jovito R. Salonga Center for Law and Development, while serving as Faculty Member of the College of Law. She also served as an elected local legislator in the Philippines, leading social innovation programs for women, children, and the underserved, and championing legislation on good governance and ethical leadership. She currently serves on the board of the Harvard Kennedy School New England Alumni Association and Vice President of Save One Life, an international non-profit serving children with hemophilia in developing countries worldwide. She holds a Master of Laws in Government Procurement from the George Washington University Law School and a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School. Myrish received the 2019 HKS Dean’s Award and was among the 2019 Harvard Heroes.
Patricia-Ann T. Prodigalidad
Patricia-Ann T. Prodigalidad is a Senior Partner at ACCRALAW, specializing in commercial and criminal litigation (particularly cases involving banking, securities, corporate rehabilitation and insolvency, white collar crime, antitrust and anti-money laundering issues) and in commercial and construction arbitration. She is an arbitrator of the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc., the Philippine Construction Industry Arbitration Commission, the Philippine International Center for Conflict Resolution (an affiliate of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines), the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and the International Centre for Dispute Resolution of the American Arbitration Association. Ms. Prodigalidad currently represents the Philippines in the governing board of the ASEAN Law institute of the ASEAN Law Association and now serves as a Deputy Director of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines’ Committee on Bar Discipline. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws’ degree from the University of the Philippines in 1996, where she graduated cum laude, and her Master of Laws degree in 2004 from Harvard Law School.
