HCPG Sponsors First Filipino-American Festival in Harvard Square, Cambridge
HCPG was a proud sponsor of the first Filipino-American Festival in Harvard Square organized by the Harvard Square Philippine American Alliance (HSPAA) and the Harvard Square Business Association.
Geraldine Acuña-Sunshine, HCPG Co-President and Harvard Overseer opened the event formally and welcomed the large and diverse crowd who were eager to know more about Filipino culture through songs and dances, build community and partake of delicious Filipino food- lechon, lumpia shanghai, dinuguan, barbecue, daing, palabok, pansit- we among those offered for the public to taste.
Several Filipino singers and dance groups in the Northeast, from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania also graced the occasion. HCPG members and HBS alums' Cris Po, HBS MBA and Ted Po, HBS OPM, of the Century Tuna group were also able to sponsor a booth, having known of the event from HCPG's outreach.
It was a day of Filipino culture and community, ending with lots of dancing and singing- something we all love doing, and doing best!
