Welcome
Dear Member of the Harvard Club of the Philippines,
Amidst these unprecedented times, we are incredibly blessed and excited to be co-leading the Harvard Club of the Philippines into a new era of community - one which is not geographically limited, but rather invites all Harvard Filipino alumni, Harvard alumni of Filipino descent, and Harvard alumni with strong ties to the Philippines to join our club wherever they may be in the world.
In doing so, we not only celebrate the diversity and talent of all our Filipino Harvard alumni through this expanded network, but also provide all Filipino Harvard alumni with a home in which they can truly belong. For this reason, you may see the Harvard Club of the Philippines referred to from time to time as the Harvard Club of the Philippines Global. This last word marks the shift to welcoming Filipino Harvard alumni who may not currently be in the country.
As persons who have been active for many years in the greater Harvard alumni network (with Geraldine also currently serving as a member of the Harvard University Board of Governors as Overseer and Carol as Harvard Business School Alumni Board Member and immediate past Harvard Alumni Association Director for the Asia-Pacific Region), we hope to use our contacts to provide interesting programs for our members in a way that not only brings the Philippines to Harvard but also brings Harvard to the Philippines.
In this respect, we are continuing to revamp our website and create programmatic committees that alumni can volunteer to join and build in leadership together. It is our hope that even though our ability to gather remains limited, we can use this time to lay a firm foundation upon which to build a stronger club for the future.
